The Brisbane 2032 Organising Committee has unveiled the official Olympic and Paralympic emblems, introducing a visual identity inspired by Queensland’s wildlife, culture and character.

The designs feature two native Australian cockatoos, with a pink cockatoo representing the Olympic Games and a sulphur-crested cockatoo representing the Paralympic Games.

The emblems also incorporate the outline of Queensland, the Olympic and Paralympic flames and a subtle reference to 2032. The cockatoos carry First Nations significance, reflecting their connections to Country and their cultural role as messengers linking people to place, story and ceremony.

The designs were unveiled following a series of events across Queensland, with 12 Olympic, Paralympic and sporting greats presenting six elements before the complete emblems were revealed in Brisbane’s South Bank.

The unveiling marks another milestone on the road to Brisbane 2032, which will be the third Olympic Games hosted by Australia after Melbourne 1956 and Sydney 2000.

For shooting sport, inclusion in the Brisbane 2032 Olympic programme has not yet been confirmed, with the ISSF continuing to engage with the IOC, Brisbane 2032 and Australian stakeholders regarding the sport’s potential inclusion.

The Olympic Games are scheduled for 23 July–8 August 2032, followed by the Paralympic Games from 24 August–5 September.
