The British pair completed the course in 8:16.33 to take the gold, finishing 5.19 seconds ahead of Germany’s Julia Enderle and Luca Göhmann, who took silver in 8:21.52. Germany’s Kerstin Schmidt and Zeno Ellinger completed the Elite podium in 8:30.44.
Italy’s Domiziana Lanzillotti and Marco Ammirati finished fourth in 8:33.15, followed by Great Britain’s Erin Throgmorton-Appleby and Oliver Silvester in fifth. Switzerland’s Sabrina Humbel and Daniel Bienz were sixth, with two further British and Swiss pairs completing the classification.

In the Junior Mixed Pair competition, Germany’s Lisa Enderle and Lukas Bürki took first place in 8:01.09, ahead of Switzerland’s Tessa Dietrich and Patrick Gal in 8:14.20. Germany claimed another medal as Mona Mammen and Julian Knoll finished third in 8:27.49.
Switzerland’s Layla Rutishauser and Sven Streuli finished fourth, while Germany’s Milia and Matti Kussmaul took fifth. Great Britain’s Elizabeth Latham-Roberts and Blair Blackwood were sixth, followed by Mari Pritchard and Nathaniel Salvatore in seventh.
