The Indian shooter finished with 27 hits to secure her maiden ISSF World Cup gold medal, holding off a strong challenge from France’s Carole Cormenier, while Italy’s Erica Sessa delighted the home crowd by taking the bronze medal.
Neeru established herself among the front-runners from the opening stages of the final and remained remarkably consistent throughout the 30-target contest. Entering the decisive phase with a narrow advantage, she maintained her composure to finish on 27, sealing an impressive victory in one of the strongest fields of the season.

Former world champion Carole Cormenier once again demonstrated her experience and consistency, finishing second with 25 hits. The French athlete stayed within striking distance of the leader throughout the final but was unable to close the gap over the closing stages, earning another ISSF World Cup podium finish.

Italy celebrated a medal through Erica Sessa, who claimed bronze with 19 hits. Competing in front of an enthusiastic home crowd at Trap Concaverde, Sessa remained in medal contention throughout the final before securing her place on the podium.

Spain’s Mar Molné Magriñá finished fourth with 14 targets after another solid performance, while Germany’s Kathrin Murche placed fifth on 11.
Rumeysa Pelin Kaya of Türkiye finished sixth with 9, ahead of Rachel Tozier of the United States, who took seventh with 7. Home favourite and Olympic silver medallist Silvana Stanco completed the final in eighth place with 6 targets after an early exit, despite the strong support of the Italian spectators.

The Trap Women competition opened the finals programme for the discipline in Lonato, with medals awarded in front of packed stands at Trap Concaverde. Attention now turns to the Trap Men final, where another ISSF World Cup title will be decided as the competition continues in Italy.
