The women's 50m Rifle 3 Positions junior final delivered a high-quality contest at the ISSF Junior World Championship Rifle / Pistol / Shotgun Suhl 2026, with medals decided by fine margins after an intense battle among some of the world's most promising young rifle athletes.

In the end, Taisia Tikhomirova emerged victorious with 357.2 points, ahead of India's Prachi Gaikwad and Switzerland's Emely Jaeggi.

Competing as an Individual Neutral Athlete, Taisia Tikhomirova secured the gold medal with a composed performance that culminated in a series of strong standing-position shots, including a 10.9 in the final stages. Tikhomirova has established herself as one of the leading junior rifle athletes in the world in recent seasons, demonstrating exceptional consistency across three-position events. Her victory in Suhl adds a world championship title to an already impressive junior career.
India's Prachi Gaikwad took silver with 354.7 after remaining firmly in medal contention throughout the final. The Indian athlete has been one of the standout performers of her generation, winning medals at Asian and ISSF junior competitions while contributing to India's continued strength in rifle events. Her silver medal in Suhl further confirms her status as one of the top junior three-position athletes on the international circuit.
The bronze medal went to Emely Jaeggi of Switzerland, who continued her excellent season by securing another major international podium finish. Jaeggi has already made a name for herself through strong performances at European and ISSF competitions and earlier this year reached the final of the senior ISSF World Cup in Munich. Her ability to compete successfully at both junior and senior levels highlights her growing reputation as one of Switzerland's brightest shooting sport talents.
China's Zhou Yuxin narrowly missed out on the medals in fourth place despite leading after the kneeling stage.

Norway placed two athletes in the top six, with Synnoeve Berg finishing fifth and Pernille Nor-Woll sixth. Both athletes have been key members of Norway's successful junior rifle programme and once again showed their ability to compete among the world's best.
Dominika Skarupska of Poland reached the world championship final after a strong qualification performance and finished seventh, while Mariia Sheinina of Ukraine placed eighth, completing a field that showcased the depth and international competitiveness of junior rifle shooting.
