The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) was proudly represented this week at the Safeguarding Train the Trainers workshop for International Federation Safeguarding Officers, held at the Olympic House.

ISSF Integrity Officer Eddie Marshbaum attended the workshop on behalf of the federation, joining representatives from 30 International Federations for a full day dedicated to safeguarding education, collaboration and exchange of best practices across the international sport movement.

The workshop was organised to support International Federations in strengthening safeguarding structures and expertise within their organisations and member networks. Participants received educational resources including the Safeguarding Essentials for Safeguarding Focal Points course, alongside workshop materials and facilitation guides designed to support national-level implementation.

For the ISSF, the participation represented another important step in the federation’s ongoing commitment to integrity and athlete welfare. Having recently updated and introduced enhanced safeguarding regulations, the ISSF was pleased to both share experiences and learn from other safeguarding professionals working across international sport.

The workshop also provided an opportunity to further develop tools and expertise that can later be shared with ISSF Member Federations as part of future integrity and safeguarding education initiatives.

The ISSF thanks the International Olympic Committee safeguarding team and all participating International Federations for contributing to an open and productive exchange focused on creating safer sporting environments worldwide.
