The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) is now making available the official presentation used during the ISSF Member Federation Town Hall sessions held on 13 May 2026 regarding the proposed transfer of shooting Para sport governance from the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) to the ISSF.

The Town Hall sessions brought together representatives from Member Federations, athletes, coaches, officials and organisers from around the world as part of the ongoing consultation and dialogue process linked to the proposed integration. During the sessions, ISSF and IPC representatives presented the vision, roadmap, opportunities and practical implications connected to the proposal under the principle of “One Family – Stronger Together.”

The presentation includes information regarding:

the rationale behind the proposed transfer;
the ISSF vision for shooting Para sport;
practical benefits and opportunities for Member Federations;
key milestones and timelines;
and the proposed integration roadmap through LA28 and the end of 2028.

The material also summarises the main discussion points and questions raised during the Town Hall sessions, helping Member Federations continue their internal discussions and stakeholder consultations ahead of the ISSF General Assembly in December 2026, where Member Federations will vote on the proposal.

The ISSF and IPC will continue the consultation process throughout 2026 through additional Town Halls, workshops, written guidance and direct engagement opportunities with the international shooting sport community.
