ISSF World Tour Target Sprint Szeged 2026: Strong performances mark individual finals

The ISSF World Tour Target Sprint 2026 got underway in Szeged, Hungary, where the individual competitions took place today, 2 May, showcasing a combination of precision shooting and endurance running at the highest level.

Target Sprint, an innovative discipline developed by the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF), once again demonstrated its growing appeal, bringing together athletes who combine accuracy, speed and physical resilience.

In the Men’s competition, Italy’s Marco Ammirati claimed gold with a combined time of 8:09.567, delivering the fastest overall performance of the day. He finished ahead of Hungary’s Márk Rescsik, who took silver with 8:36.157, while Germany’s Luca Göhmann secured bronze with 8:36.899.

In the Women’s event, Germany’s Kerstin Schmidt topped the podium with a total time of 9:31.477, followed by her teammate Alena Weinmann in second place with 9:52.904. Switzerland’s Ramona Elsener completed the podium with 12:22.624.
In the Men Junior category, Switzerland’s Patrick Gal delivered a strong performance to win gold with a time of 8:22.286, ahead of Germany’s Julian Knoll (8:37.040) and Zeno Ellinger (8:46.520).

The Women Junior competition saw Germany dominate the podium, with Lisa Enderle taking gold in 9:51.712, followed by Milia Kußmaul in second place with 10:01.204. Switzerland’s Tessa Dietrich secured bronze with 10:20.672.


The ISSF World Tour Target Sprint Szeged 2026 once again highlighted the dynamic nature of the discipline, combining athletic performance with shooting precision and attracting a growing number of athletes and nations.
