ISSF Junior World Cup Cairo 2026: Three more titles decided on day three

The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) Junior World Cup Rifle / Pistol / Shotgun Cairo 2026 continued with a busy third day of finals in Cairo, Egypt, where three more titles were awarded across rifle and pistol events.

Finals took place throughout the day, with the 50m Rifle 3 Positions Women Junior at 12:30, followed by the 10m Air Rifle Men Junior at 14:45, and the 10m Air Pistol Women Junior at 17:00 (local time).

India’s Prachi Gaikwad secured gold in the 50m Rifle 3 Positions Women Junior final after a closely contested battle, finishing with 354.6 points.

She held off Darya Chuprys, who took silver with 354.4, while Elena Kretinina completed the podium with 343.3.

The final remained tight throughout, with the top two separated by just 0.2 points, highlighting the high level of competition.
In the 10m Air Rifle Men Junior final, Uzbekistan’s Javohir Sokhibov delivered a composed performance to take gold with 251.2 points.

Cyprus’ Achilleas Sophocleous followed closely with 250.2 to secure silver, while India’s Naraen Pranav Vanitha Suresh earned bronze with 229.5.

Sokhibov maintained consistency in the decisive stages to stay ahead in a competitive final.
The day concluded with the 10m Air Pistol Women Junior final, where India’s Vanshika Chaudhary claimed gold with 241.3 points.

Her teammate Sejal Kamble secured silver with 239.6, completing a strong result for India, while Chinese Taipei’s Liao Ke Rong took bronze with 218.3.

The final saw Chaudhary take control in the later stages, maintaining her lead to secure victory.

The event runs until 27 April, with more titles to be decided in the coming days.
