International Shooting Sport Federation President Luciano Rossi visits European Championship 10m in Yerevan

The President of the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF), Luciano Rossi, attended the European Championship 10m in Yerevan, reaffirming the ISSF’s continued support for continental competitions and its Member Federations.

During his visit, President Rossi presented a special award to the President of the Shooting Federation of Armenia, Arthur Hovhannisyan, and to the Secretary General, Areg Saribekyan, in recognition of their outstanding work in hosting the championship.

The ISSF extends its sincere thanks to the Armenian Federation leadership, as well as to the European Shooting Confederation, for their cooperation and commitment in delivering a well-organised event. The championship has clearly demonstrated Armenia’s capacity to host major international competitions and its strong dedication to the development of shooting sport.
The ISSF also acknowledges the presence and support of the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, who attended and addressed the Opening Ceremony.

On the occasion of his visit, President Rossi stated:
“I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan for his presence at the Opening Ceremony and for the support provided to our sport through this event. The commitment shown by the Armenian authorities, together with the excellent work of the national federation and the European Shooting Confederation, has ensured the successful organisation of this European Championship. Armenia has demonstrated that it is fully capable of hosting major international competitions at the highest level.”

The successful staging of the European Championship 10m in Yerevan has further strengthened Armenia’s position within the international shooting sport community and showcased its ability to welcome athletes and officials from across Europe and beyond.
